Earned Doctor of Medicine degree from Matias H. Aznar Memorial College of Medicine, Southwestern University, Warner Lambert Scholar, graduating as top of the batch and recipient of the Philippine Medical Association Most Outstanding Medical Student Award.

Completed Residency in Combined Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at University of the Philippines - Philippine General Hospital (1990-1993).

Achieved Board Certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (1994).
